There is over 600 staff at PHE Porton Down operating a large number of microbiological containment laboratories at containment levels (biosafety levels) 2, 3 and 4. This means they are able to handle the most high-hazard microbial pathogens in both laboratory experiments to evaluate vaccines and therapeutics against these diseases.
Our working relationship with PHE dates back to 2012. Since then T-SQUARED has been trusted to deliver a wide variety of highly confidential and strategically important projects at PHE Porton Down ranging from several hundred thousand pounds to many millions in value. As part of our remit, we have designed, constructed and validated a number of CL3 laboratories for PHE.
