GLADD Laboratory

The University’s Glasgow Laboratory for Advanced Detector Development (GLADD) is an electronic device fabrication and test facility housed in a state-of-the-art Class 10000 cleanroom, allowing scientists to continue developing their work assisting the CERN lab in Switzerland as well as having commercial applications such as medical imaging and airport security.

The T-SQUARED team of design, construction and validation experts delivered its full turnkey service on this project, managing and delivering all design, construction fit-out and validation services throughout this important facility.

The new cleanroom laboratory – where air quality, temperature and humidity are highly regulated to protect sensitive equipment from contamination – contains a suite of cutting-edge equipment including an ultrasonic fine pitch wire bonder to fabricate interconnects in electronic chips and a probe station to investigate the functionality of improved sensor designs.

This project adds to the T-SQUARED portfolio of highly specialised projects for world-changing clients, working with in-house leading experts at T-SQUARED who are trusted to deliver.
