Steris is a leading global provider of products and services that help support patient care, with an emphasis on infection prevention. They provide innovative solutions across the healthcare and life science sectors that help their customers create a healthier, safer world. After their main contractor went bust, T-SQUARED were asked to come in and fix existing problems, complete the project and allow Steris to use their building.

After their main contractor went into administration, Steris needed some expert assistance to complete the project at their Reading site and fix problems left by the original contractor to get the building operating safely and efficiently. T-SQUARED were happy to help. We came in and assessed the situation, then deployed the very best of our in-house expertise to deliver a facility up to the standards that Steris needed.

During the project, we went above and beyond the original specification, despite a lack of information about the existing installation and necessary works needed to make the building operational. The project was in a difficult position when we stepped in, but T-SQUARED investigated the current building in depth to determine requirements and then made innovative suggestions to get the HVAC system working as intended. We also designed, engineered and constructed several ISO 8 standard cleanrooms and made vital improvements to the building’s pipework, delivering an overhauled, fully welded stainless steel system far superior to the old system.

T-SQUARED went far beyond our appointment on the Steris project, both during construction and after it concluded. After completion, the site was flooded due to heavy rainfall. Despite having no previous involvement with the drainage systems, we returned to the site, personally assisted with cleanup and then instructed and supervised emergency drainage engineers. The end result was a facility Steris can be proud of, with the original components completed within budget and timeframe and additional, ongoing support provided.
